Silver Hawks 7, Dragons 5: The Silver Hawks (6-1)—who never got above .500 in the first half-season—remain in a first-place tie with the Lansing Lugnuts in the second half-season

Sean Coughlin had two hits and three RBIs—three of them on a 3-run homer (number 8) in the first inning.

Taylor Harbin had two hits and scored two runs. Derrick Walker and Konrad Schmidt each had two hits.

Starter Jordan Norberto (4-6) got the win. Bryan Henry and Daniel Stange pitched three innings of shutout relief.

Pacers Trade Jermaine O’Neal: The Indiana Pacers have agreed in principle to a deal that will send six-time All-Star forward/center Jermaine O’Neal to the Toronto Raptors for point guard T.J. Ford, the 17^th pick in today’s NBA draft, Rasho Nesterovic, and another role player.

O’Neal is owed $44-million over the next two seasons. He played just 42 games for the Pacers a year ago after suffering a knee injury; he has expressed a desire to leave the Pacers for a contender.

At Toronto, he will paired on the front line with high-scoring Chris Bosh.

Fukodome Hurting: The Chicago Cub injury list grew yesterday as Kosuke Fukudome sat out the Oriole game with a tight left calf.

The Cubs already have Carlos Zambrano, Alfonso Soriano and Reed Johnson on the disabled list.

Utility man Mark DeRosa took Fukodome’s spot in right field.
