Police Investigators Fired At:
The detectives were checking out the area behind Wade’s Unique Car Wash in the 1800 block of Lincolnway West where Harold Parks, 28, was fatally shot Saturday night.
The shots went over the officers’ heads. Norby and another officer gave chase, but couldn’t find a suspect.
It has been little more than a year since Norby was shot in the arm and Cpl. Nick Polizzotto was fatally shot at the Wooden Indiana Motel.

Bozos of the World Lose a Role Model: Larry Harmon, 83--who turned Bozo the Clown into a national franchise—died last Thursday I
Harmon was not the first Bozo. The characters began in 1946 on a cartoon series with an actor named Vance Pinto Colvig doing the voice. Harmon took over in 1956, organized a group to buy the rights, and gave Bozo a makeover which included the sixe 83AAA shoes and flaming red wig.
Harmon trained Bozos and franchised the character to TV stations across the country, including WGN in
He also took Vice-President George H.W. Bush to task during the latters’ 1988 presidential campaign for erroneously calling someone a bozo. The correct definition of a “bozo” is a clown or hobo, not an idiot.
